i went to the bank last friday to open a passbook account. aaaaaah savings, yes, this is quite challenging for me to do these days. it's really true: the more money you have, the more you spend. not that i have lots of money (because that would be awesome!) but i'm just saying that it's available to me than before and i tend to spend a bit more on food (juice and milk actually) among other things. i went to the city hall afterwards to get a community tax certificate or cedula. man, i didn't declare again that im employed. whoops?
i went to school after that to give my id picture to the alumni office. then i went to a different office to give back this form from the alumni too (sssshhh). then since i haven't eaten anything since my late breakfast, i decided to eat at the school residence hall cafe. wow, things really have changed around there. the place was smaller and had less food to choose from. :( it's not how i remember the place to be at all. i used to go at that cafeteria with my classmates and we had so much hanging out there. sitting and eating my rice meal alone there was just a bit sad. just a bit because i'm used to being a loner anyway. hehe.
nearby was my high school and haha, i saw that there were people practicing at the football team. i saw a familiar face in the crowd. it was my coach. i thought twice about seeing him, like if i should show up uninvited, but i did anyway. i had to work up the courage to come up to him and sound casual. my coach was surprised to see me and we talked for some time about the old times and the new times too since i don't know anyone from the high school team anymore. it was fun and nostalgic, the experience of stepping on a soccer field again. i was glad that there were spare balls so i had the chance to practice my kicks. still good, i suppose, although the kicking kind of pulled my leg muscles a bit. i could feel the tension in my groin the next day! yeah, that's the toll of being out of shape! i asked my coach to just be honest and compare my team when we were still in high school and his team in high school now, like which is better and stuff. he said that his team right now is more skillful, which i can agree with since ive observed that his team has the footwork and kicking techniques taken care of. and perhaps they also started playing at a young age unlike our team who just began training in high school. (omg my school has a grade school football program now too. fucking progress, i tell ya!) however he said that my hs team was stronger and more enduring. i guess that's true. we were like carabaos back then! and i believe that my health was at its peak when i was 15! :D
i didn't go home afterwards. i went straight to the mall to watch a movie. i saw confessions of a shopaholic and it was alright. it was not as spectacular as i imagined it to be though. it was predictable and full of cliches. it was also distracting that the main star isla fisher looks like amy adams who i love in enchanted and catch me if you can (i think she was in cruel intentions: manchester prep too). oh well. like i said, it was alright. at least it wasn't annoying like those brats in the theatre.
here's to another hundred years of not updating this blog. cheers. lol
