I just let out some steam yesterday but come on now, the NPA + Internet = NPA will find me? My logic is flawed. *How wude!*
Last night, I tried 3 programs on my computer; one of them I just downloaded, the other 2 have been in my computer since the beginning but I never used them, WUT. So by now, you should know that this is a techie post.
The first one is Avidemux as I have mentioned it on a recent entry in one of my blogs.

I actually don't know what to do with it, seriously, but I thought it's cool to see the 'before' and 'after' here:

(And excuse the hideous screen capture of me)
This program is probably useless for me? I don't know. I'll see.. Two things I noticed though are: sometimes the video and the sound are not in sync when I play the video, and I can actually make a screen capture or video capture of the video using a screen capture program (I use Screenhunter 5 Free at the moment but I'm going to try !Quick Screen Capture later.) or a screen recording program like Camstudio.
The next program I "discovered" as I have not used this until last night when it's installed in my computer all along is Nero 6 Wave Editor (Yep, I'm still using an old version, yay me... not.):

And I was like, *perky voice* OMG!

(Right click on the image and select "View Image" to see the bigger version)
What I like about this program is that whenever I use the Effects, there is a section there where I can actually hear the preview of the effect on the track I'm editing and I can just keep on adjusting the effects while the preview is playing!! I will know the difference right away from what the track really sounds like to what the f*ck I just did! I can't do that with Audacity.

(Right click on the image and select "View Image" to see the bigger version)
And even though the effect is not that "effective", I appreciate its karaoke filter because I remove vocals from tracks this way. Now I have another option.
And... the other program I tried last night is Nero 6 Photosnap (again, an old version) (And I actually typed "Photosnap" as "Photoshap" at first. LOL):

(Right click on the image and select "View Image" to see the bigger version.)
(Please forgive my face for sinning.)
And I was like, WUT? This is like, photo editing for dummies! The effects are on the side and I can just choose whatever I want on there. And I can make the adjustments by moving the slider or ticking / not ticking the appropriate boxes.

(Right click on the image and select "View Image" to see the bigger version.)
I tried the kaleidoscope effect but I kind of thought that it doesn't make sense. But maybe it will make sense to you when you're on drugs.

I also tried this color balance thing and it was really trippy.
Now... to upgrade or not to upgrade, that is the question.. Hmm. Well I'm already OK with Nero 6. It's not like I use it every day. I stopped using it when my burner cannot burn CDs anymore for some strange reason (obviously if it doesn't work, why will I continue using it, right???). Contacted Nero LAST YEAR, woooo omg so it's been a year, and one of them even addressed me as a guy, lolz. I was told to update Nero and also update the firmware on my recorder. And at first, I was like, wtf is firmware; speak human plz! Then I decided not to bother. So what if I couldn't burn CDs or DVDs anymore? Oh well. Maybe if I have the time, I'll sort this out.
Now excuse my geekiness. I have to go. By[t]e!!!
