Since my high school alumni homecoming is almost near...

posted 3 September 2007, Monday

I checked out my high school classmate's contacts in Multiply only to find my other high school classmates there. So I checked their pages too and look what I found! High school photos! Yay!

For Third and Fourth year, I had the same set of classmates. We were in the sixth section. So in Junior year, we were "III-6", then in Senior year, we were "IV-6". The seventh section was the English section, while the eighth section was the Honors section (Math and Science) so we would joke that we were in the Semi-honors section. Hehehe! Oh before I forget, in Sophomore year, I was invited to take advanced Math classes, but I refused the offer. My classmates back then said I should have went for it because it would probably get me to the Honors section. Nah... Besides, if I happened to go to the eighth section, I would never be classmates with my closest friends. Surprisingly we were all in the sixth section! This made my high school life fun while it lasted.

This was during our class photo session in Third year. We were given around 3 candid shots, and this was one of them. I think I struggled to squat or something. It even didn't  help that Fraulien leaned on me. Durr. The one on the right was my exchange student classmate Rika from Japan. I'm not sure what she's doing now, but I heard from Karen (She's the one doing the peace sign) that Rika has trained to be a midwife. One of my classmates here was my teammate in the varsity. We were also in the national team for quite some time, but she quit earlier than me. I also caused a controversy in grade school (ooooohhhh... see, I was retard.) with one of my classmates, but we patched things up already. The other one here is "the town's best friend" but actually she's pathetic. I still loathe her up to this day. She cried during our retreat because I hate her, like I was the one with the huge ego problem, but actually it was her wrong doing that made me hate her. WHATEVURR. I let it pass and we became"friends" again only to find out that she's breaking my REAL friends and I apart. Yep, I keep grudges, but this rarely happens. My hate is pure. I hate like a kid. I hate, but I forget after I've chilled. But there are some people I hate and the hate goes beyond the grave. Seriously.

^ The retreat in Senior year.

This was in Senior year in Music class. In school, we have a yearly music competition with all the other classes, and we rehearse during Music class. I was usually classified as a Soprano 2 (in Freshman and Sophomore year though, I was an Alto). In this photo, I was at the back, leaning on the piano. I have that classic catch-my-face-with-my-hand pose.

^ LOL.

Music class was fun. It was definitely one of my favorite classes. What I can brag about our Music class is the school taught us lots of songs, like those that date back to the Renaissance period and shit. I would not even know there was an opera about Einstein if it wasn't for that class. Speaking of Einstein, a classmate in Freshman year used to call me Einstein. Argh. Was it because of my hair?

This was in Senior year once again, and in Computer class. HAHAHAH! So yeah, I did cry to myself when we had typing classes because I could not type as fast as my classmates did, but that was in Junior year. This was in Senior year and I had my (silent) revenge. I was one of the best in MS Excel because my other classmates had a hard time figuring out the formulas, but I could. Sweet victory, tee-hee!

I'm including three pictures I have (The first one was the retreat photo). They are blurred because I don't have a flatbed scanner so I used a web cam to take images of the prints.

This was also in Senior year during P.E. class. We had to wear pink shirts because that's our batch color. We're the Pink Batch of 2002. It's funny though when the shirts get really washed out, they'd look white. Varsity players were not exempted from Physical Ed during my time, so it was work x 2 for us. I pretty much remember that the last time we had P.E. class, we played dodge ball. HAHAHA! That was fun. My classmate who belonged to the basketball varsity was present, so it spelled trouble for most of us (well, not me really, because I was one of those people who were throwing the ball). I learned a lot from this class throughout my 4 years in high school. It was extra work on my part, but I enjoyed it very much. I learned folk dances (OMG I can ~dance~), aerobics (LOL), table tennis, volleyball, badminton, gymnastics, tae-bo, ballroom dancing (Gasp! I can really ~dance~) among other things.

This was my high school soccer team. We were not complete during this photo shoot since it was done outside school and beyond school hours. Gaaah I think I have not changed. I'm still shirt-pants-sneakers girl. I'm still looking for more varsity photos. I have some copies, but I want MOAR, you know. Hehe. Let me end this blog entry here because soccer is a different topic, and there are so many stories I can share about this which would lead me off the topic. Hopefully I can post moar photos from high school soon enough. Wink
