It was around year 2000 when I joined a Yahoo! Club (Oh yeah, it was called Yahoo! Club back then and not Yahoo! Group). It was also during that time when I joined an online forum. The forum was for JC Chasez. Hahaha!
So here is the website I used to go to: http://jc.glisten.net. And I really liked it because the site is orange (and I used to love love love orange). It also has that "Caption this" photo section which amused me. The message board was active and the people there had lots of fun talking to each other. They even called Joey Fatone as "Joey Baritone." Get it? Joey Baritone? Lance Bass? Riight.
So I private messaged this person who was very active in there. I forgot her name but I do remember she was around 22-24 years old that time. So we had an exchange of messages and stuff and it was cool until...
... she asked for my age. DAMN!
I didn't know what the consequences were when you tell somebody online that you're 15. So I told her, "I'm 15." She never talked to me again.
I don't recall myself being a f*cktard in the forums. I was a decent poster. I didn't type LiK3 tHiS or lyk dis or steysdfhffgv and I was polite. I just didn't get it that she would just ditch me after all the nice messages we've written to each other because I was young. (What do you call people who discriminate youngsters? Youngsterists??!) So I was quite discouraged, you know. I didn't see the point of making friends online if these people you call friends would just leave you any minute.
I guess I had my online forum cherry popped by the wrong person.
I still like forums though. And I still don't lie about my age.
/edit: After reading my entry, it sounded like I had something lez going on with that girl, especially since I used "cherry". Excuuuuuuuse me!
Hi. It is intertaining journal and it gave me a laugh. Yeah, forums and
bloggings are addictive and always have fun on it. Well, Im old enough when
this internet becomes popular, so there is no reason to hide my age.
Hi Reymos! Thanks for dropping by! I became inactive in cyberspace after
that but I came back in full force back in college. Hehe. I really like
forums because there's an exchange of thought and people share serious and
fun stuff to each other.
