i went to sm mall of asia with my dad. we did not go there by car because it was far and my dad did not want to drive and use up too much gas. oh gawd, when was the last time i've been to mall of asia? 2006? damn. things have changed so much there. there are more people of course, and more establishments. i remember that i used to think that mall of asia was a waste of space or something. it's just too big and it's not as accessible as megamall since the stores in megamall are all lined up and you just have to walk straight to pass all of them whereas the stores in mall of asia are just freakin everywhere. nothing much to see but the only thing i liked about mall of asia was the ocean view. the bars at baywalk have been closed down due to illegal transactions so i guess the nightlife by the seaside has moved to mall of asia. it just amuses me that everytime i'm at the ocean view, ill be like omg im at the edge of the philippines basically because mall of asia is beside manila bay. there's nothing much to see either: just big rocks and sea water that is only contained by your horizons.

just tell me what the hell is there to see here. ah maybe this.
my dad and i went back inside the mall to check out this big ass christmas tree. i was bored as hale because my dad decided to leave for a moment to pay some bills.

i had the urge to play camera tricks with my hand.

my hand looks weird with all those folds of skin.

was tempted to flick the star off. excuse my hand for looking like a deer.

i wanted to "hold" the tree but of course it was impossible to make it look like im holding it because that would mean my fingers should appear curled around the other side of the tree.
it's also great to go people watching while my dad was away. saw some senior citizens and kids, even looked at the shoes some people were wearing. i have to say though that there was one person that stood out while i was people watching that i just had to take what i call a paparazzi shot. i had to hold my camera in an angle that was convenient for me yet it was a bit discreet since i didn't have to face the subject.

holla.
then my dad came back and we went to the airport right after. (i didnt take any pictures there because i thought my camera would draw attention to me at such a public and busy place so i decided to keep it in my bag. besides i took pictures of people at the airport last year.) it seems that there were not much foreigners visiting the country that day, or maybe i just didn't see them being fetched since there's a vip place at the arrivals area. i stood there at the waiting shed for more than half an hour looking for my brother. finally i saw him pushing a cart with all his luggage and box full of chocolates that rot your brain (aww man, he didn't buy me digestive cookies because he is now disgusted by those.) i was able to go to duty free and asked my brother to buy pistachio nuts and golden oreo (yes, they are called like that. they're not even golden. they're just yellow vanilla flavored wafer oreos).
got home and my brother got sick, oh noez. he had a fever and had shaking chills. he's had some sort of sore throat while he was staying in singapore for a few days. he's at the hospital this moment. it turns out it's pneumonia. welcome back to the philippines, bro, welcome back.
