I am currently subscribed to the Yahoo! Mail blog feed. Yep, geeky, I know, but it keeps me updated on whatever changes or recent happenings there are about Yahoo! Mail. I've been a user of Yahoo! Mail for years now. I think I got an account back in 1998 or 1999. If you know my other accounts, you would see that I use the Internet name "skyllo01" too. Did you know that I originally went by the cyber name "skyllo_14" ? That was my first Yahoo! handle but I wasn't able to maintain it so it expired, I think. I used that name with a 14 at the end just because that time, I had an inclination towards the number 14 and when my soccer coach asked the team to choose our own numbers for the jersey, I chose the number 14. But I became a goalie and goalies normally get number 1 for their jersey. So since my email account expired, I made a new one and my username became "skyllo01."
Recently Yahoo! Mail had a little contest in their corporate blog. You just have to submit a New Year's resolution related to your mail. I submitted an entry and it was about this email from a contest that I bahleeted. I just said that since Yahoo! Mail now has unlimited storage, then I could have just made a new folder to accommodate emails that are somewhat important so that I don't regret losing these emails when time comes that I need them.
A while ago, I received an email from the Community Manager of Yahoo! Mail, Ryan Knight, asking me if he can reference my entry to an upcoming post for the Yahoo! Mail blog. Of course, I just have to say yes! He also asked me for my delivery details because he's going to send me a Yahoo! t-shirt. A freakin Yahoo! t-shirt.
Awesome. I'll let you guys know when I receive the shirt and I'd take a photo of it too.
I'm no way near thinking of leaving Yahoo! Mail.
ETA: Here is the actual contest post:
